An agent has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Lee Grace appears to have worked for Mann Countrywide in Dartford, Kent.
He was charged with one count of fraud by abuse of position and sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court earlier this month, Kent police have confirmed.
Police told us: “The charge wording states that between 19 August and 29 September 2014 in Dartford, he dishonestly abused his position to make a financial gain.”
Maidstone Crown Court has confirmed that Grace pleaded guilty.
In a previous case, a man named Lee Grace was handed an 18 month sentence after working for an independent agent in Shoreditch, London, where the sum involved ran into hundreds of thousands.
The agent in that case told EYE that the company was almost brought down.
Asked to comment on the latest case, a spokesperson for Countrywide cited the Data Protection Act.
